Travel changes you. The new experiences, tastes, smells, memories can’t help but alter your mind and make you grow as a person. The kids stand in front of a piece of the Berlin Wall in front of the Imperial War Museum. This particular piece of wall says “Change your life.” I take this statement to heart and decide to do just that. It has been years since I really painted and my goal last year got side tracked by life. But this wall, the significance of it, what it represents,  the stories behind it and what so many people suffered through shift my perspective. It is time to buckle down and make things happen - time to “Change my life.” This series of four paintings were all inspired by this trip, and the Berlin wall in particular.
