Honestly, this has to be my favourite of all time.
This poem was my mantra when I was sick. I would read it countless times a day. Silently mouthing the words as I lay with my eyes closed in my hospital bed. I was convinced that the more often I repeated them, the more likely it would be that I would survive the impossible.
I felt as though it had been written just for me. That I couldn’t stop fighting or it would be game over and I may have been so close to winning. I believed that I just had to follow these instructions and I would make it through.
Giving up was not an option. Determined to fight to win, I was never going to quit.
There were horrific days that I questioned whether or not I would make it, but I would just say these words a few more times on those days. One step at a time. Literally.
Day by day we get closer to the finish line.
Don’t Quit.
