POWER OF THE MIND
Aside from medical intervention, I believe my best defense against cancer was myself. Focusing my mind, attitude and spirituality on healing made my recovery possible, and if nothing else, enabled me to be better equipped to handle the trials and tribulations a cancer diagnosis forces one to face.
It was during my darkest days when I felt like giving up, like quitting, that a shift in my mind allowed me to keep going. I made a conscious decision to look at the situation in a different way and use the power of my brain to alter the outcome.
Persistence is perseverance in spite of fatigue or frustration.
Every step of a cancer journey has unimaginable challenges, however, by developing a mindset of persistence, you can empower yourself and overcome any obstacle that gets between you and survival.
A resilient spirit demonstrates an emotional fortitude that is capable of withstanding uncertainty.
Encompassing multiple techniques and strategies to cope successfully, you can develop a tenacious spirit to carry you through dark days.
Recognize that care of the body, mind and spirit collectively, is required to reach the highest potential for success. Attuning all three intrinsic qualities in balance, while embracing a
“don’t quit” attitude will increase your ability to control what you can, heal, and ultimately, survive.
Your mind is a powerful tool. Use it to your advantage!
