Reflecting on the magnitude of war, I notice this gorgeous tea rose. It is impossible to walk on and I stop and literally “stop and smell the roses.” Life is so rushed, I need this time to simply appreciate the natural beauty in front of me. The colours in the rose are stunning and it appears lit from within. I consider how this relates to me; what I take away is that as the flower glows from the inside, so does my motivation. This afternoon has given me direction, and motivation to look inside myself to make my dream of being an artist a reality.
