Standing in front of the Imperial War Museum I reflect; so much history, such an impact on so many people, so many “lives changed.” The flowers surrounding the entrance are like the souls of all who were lost and serve as a beautiful memory to them. These flowers are their legacy -  to us ensuring they are not forgotten. As I touch the soft petals of the peony, their intricate layers make me think of them like the layers of a person, the complexities that make all of us unique. I feel connected to the past and want to pay tribute to all whose lives were touched by war.
